Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Where things actually stand today: Crossave carries Google AdSense advertising, which sets third-party cookies — you will find them in the table below, and what exactly Google receives is set out in the privacy policy. You can refuse non-essential cookies from the banner.
Language: this is a courtesy translation of the Italian cookie policy. If the two versions ever differ, the Italian version prevails.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser to remember information between visits (for example your preferences, or whether you have already answered the cookie banner).

Beyond these we use no analytics cookies: our search statistics are aggregate and cookie-free, as the privacy policy explains.

Installable app: technical storage on your device

Crossave can be installed on your phone as an app (from the browser: "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen"). To do that the site uses a service worker, a small program the browser keeps on your device along with a configuration file and the icons.

It does one thing only: show you a courtesy page instead of the browser error when you open the app with no connection. It is not a cookie, contains no personal data, does not identify you and is never sent anywhere — it is technical storage necessary for the service to work, so it does not require consent. No price and no search result is kept on your device: prices change and showing you a stale copy would be a mistake, so every search always goes over the network.

You can remove everything at any time by uninstalling the app from your Home Screen, or by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If we add notifications in the future (for example price-drop alerts) we will ask you explicitly and update this page and the privacy policy: notifications require your consent and involve processing a device identifier.

Advertising and your consent

We ask for your consent to advertising cookies through a Google-certified consent management platform ("Funding Choices", built into the AdSense dashboard): until you give it, non-essential cookies are not set. You can change your mind at any time — see "How to manage cookies" below — and you can turn off personalised ads with Google directly: ad settings. What Google's code receives from our pages is set out in full in the privacy policy, "Advertising" section.

How to manage cookies

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser settings, or (when available) from the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer.
